Pipe diameter DN25; a pneumatic cut-off valve is required per the process specifications. Question: With such a small pipe diameter, are there any requirements for installing the cut-off valve? Or whether it’s suitable and can be installed. How is it in actual use? Including the valve body, solenoid valve, and actuator, it should be quite heavy. Please explain the reason.
There shouldn’t be many different versions for DN25; a ball valve can be used as a shut-off valve. If weight is a concern, an all-functional ultra-lightweight control valve can be chosen. OP, DN25 cut-off valves are commonly used; as for the issue of the valves being heavy, you can simply add supports to address it. It is best to communicate thoroughly with the process team and understand the properties of the medium in order to select the appropriate type of valve.
Quick shut-off valves are generally required due to specific process needs or safety requirements, and in most cases they are operated automatically by interlock mechanisms. Weight shouldn’t be an issue; as mentioned above, supports can be added.
Valves with such a small diameter generally do not have much weight, and it is no problem to use aluminum alloy cylinders for the actuator.
There should be no problem; we have used many cut-off valves of DN25, and they aren’t very heavy.
