I have a question for the experts here: There are two storage tanks located on different levels, and I need to transfer the liquid from the tank at the lower level to the one at the higher level. If gas is introduced into the tank at the lower level, can the pressure generated be used to push the liquid up into the tank at the higher level? Have you come across this way of operating?
Sure. However, the design pressure of the discharge storage tank must be equal to the pressure of the gas you are using. In other words, it is not suitable to use if the storage tank was not originally designed to withstand pressure. Also, the traffic is difficult to control. Generally, those with high ones and overflow pipes will not experience roof collapse. In the principles of chemical engineering, an “acid egg” refers to compressed material.
