Should safety valves be included in the pipeline material grade table?
In our design institute, they are included in the list, but it seems that some books state that safety valves, pressure relief valves, etc. do not need to be included, as they belong to special types of valves
HG20519 contains detailed regulations; valves such as safety valves and steam traps are considered special valves, and a list of them is provided separately
Safety valves are generally purchased by the instrumentation department. Do not include it in the pipeline material list
This is how I do it in the design institute: there is no need to include it in the pipeline classification table; it belongs to special valves, and therefore a separate data sheet for such valves is required.
Not necessary:victory::victory:
Our company’s practices are not included in the material grade table; the safety valve data sheet is prepared by the process engineering department.
It’s not necessary; safety valves are special types of valves, and a data sheet for safety valves needs to be prepared
Safety valves, steam traps, rupture disks, pressure relief valves, flame arresters, filters, silencers, electric valves, pneumatic valves, etc., all belong to special valves or fittings. Our approach is to not include them in the pipeline classification table, but rather to list them in the table of special valves or fittings.
A safety valve is a special component, and its parameters are determined by the system specialists. It is the system specialists who decide on these parameters. No need to involve pipeline specialists to prepare the materials!
