400kcal/h = 400*10000*4.18 kj/h = 1672*10000 kj/h = 16.72*1000 mj/h = 400*10000*4.18/3600 kW = 4.64 MW; calculated in this way, it’s equivalent to a small furnace with a capacity of over 6 tons. Ordinary coal has an energy content of 15–22 MJ/kg; approximately 1 ton to 1.5 tons of coal is consumed per hour. It’s around 5 tons. Assuming the worst-case scenario for ash content, 30% means an ash output of approximately 300–450 kg/h. For coal feeding equipment, a bucket-type conveyor driven by a motor will suffice. For slag removal, if there is an ash tank, circulating water can be used; otherwise, manual handling is required. For dust removal, water spraying is sufficient
