I am conducting a trial run of the 1120kw compressor main motor today, and I urgently need a plan for this trial run. Could everyone please provide a plan for testing the motor as well as discuss the points that need attention during the trial run? Thank you!
Reply to 1# Poor Dad: The scheme for testing the motor is simple; just write it down by yourself. 1. No-load test, 2. Time: 2 hours; generally 30 minutes is sufficient, as a longer time doesn’t add much value. 3. After operation, check the no-load current, startup time, vibration, temperature rise, and sound to ensure they are within acceptable limits 4. Observe the position of the magnetic moment center to see if it is the same as the alignment position. 5. Stop the machine to check for changes in the contact areas.
1120kw is a small motor; the plan should specify the necessary conditions for starting it, include calculations of the starting current, as well as data on temperature and vibration. The intervals between starts in hot and cold conditions should also be indicated. It’s sufficient to refer to the motor’s accompanying documentation. As for the trial operation of this small motor, it can be included within the overall trial operation plan – there’s no need to prepare a separate plan for it.
