The hydrostatic test requires that there be no abnormal noises during the test. What is the experimental pressure? Follow GB-50235; the absence of an identifiable cause does not mean it is considered non-compliant. It is likely caused by pipe displacement or deformation of the supports (in particular, the spring supports must not have their positioning pins removed); a thorough inspection is needed. It could also be due to issues related to the load bearing capacity of the pipes, or problems such as welding failure of temporary blind plates or end caps. Also, I need to confirm whether it’s the sound coming from the pipes being pressure-tested; we’ve tested four or five thousand pipes and never encountered any unusual noises.

The jacketed vessels manufactured by our company (which have an inner tube with an outer reinforcement ring in the jacket) produce abnormal noises during the jacket hydraulic pressure test; we are not sure of the reason.
During the hydrostatic test, if abnormal noises are indeed emitted by the container itself, there is definitely a problem; the pressure must be released immediately, and a thorough inspection must be carried out, including the internal and external components as well as their connecting welds!
If an abnormal noise is heard during the test and no other abnormalities are present: 1. Identify the issue – it is a non-pressure-bearing component, and correction is possible; after making the correction, no abnormal noises are heard, and the hydrostatic test is considered successful; b After relieving the pressure from the pressure-bearing components, make corrections and conduct another pressure test. If no issues are found, the equipment is deemed to have failed the hydrostatic test; a new hydrostatic test must be carried out only after the cause of any abnormal noises has been identified and resolved.
The passing criteria for a hydrostatic test are: no leaks, no visible deformation, and no abnormal noises; failure to meet any of these criteria means the test is considered unsuccessful.
