How to introduce your research project in a graduate school job interview

I’m looking for a job, and during interviews they ask about knowledge related to research projects. I don’t know how to explain my own project. My project is in the field of design; it involves the use of heat pump distillation and pinch technology, along with ASPEN simulation for design purposes. I explained it to them during my last interview, but they said they couldn’t understand it. Haha… I really don’t know how to present it. Please give me some advice. Please also help by suggesting any other questions people might have regarding this topic. Thank you!!!

Different organizations recruit for different positions; then, if that’s not possible, you can look at projects carried out by your classmates and discuss those in the interview. You shouldn’t be confined to your own projects, otherwise it will be difficult to find a good job……
It’s fine to tie it to businesses; using more professional terminology isn’t a problem. It’s even better if the interviewer doesn’t understand, so go ahead and exaggerate – blow things out of proportion. The key is to speak with confidence and clearly: lol
