We currently have an ammonia pump whose shaft is 3/4 inch in diameter, while the motor we have chosen, with a power of 5.5 kW, has a shaft that is 38 mm in diameter. I would like to know how to select a coupling for this situation. After consulting, I found that couplings sized 38 MM can only be used with shafts that are 24 MM in diameter; moreover, the other end of the shaft is still in imperial units

There’s no other way; just design one by yourself – it’s very easy. You can also choose directly, but provide an additional explanation regarding the case of shafts and keys.
Order two half couplings from a manufacturer, with inner diameters of 3/4 inch and 38 mm respectively. Alternatively, using 38mm as a reference, a sleeve with an inner diameter of 3/4 inch and an outer diameter of 38mm can be manufactured; a tight fit achieved through hot fitting can also solve the problem

Make your own set of couplings; there are various types of couplings available. Elastic pin couplings, slider couplings, roller chain couplings, and so on – just choose one type to manufacture a set; the bore diameter should be 3/4 inch or 38 mm, with the hole size tolerance set at H7.
It is possible to have a special coupling manufactured by a coupling manufacturer; that should not be a problem, or a sleeve coupling could be used.
Find a manufacturer to produce a set matching your required dimensions (inner diameter).
Design it yourself, make it yourself! Do it yourself and have enough to eat and wear! ! !
