I have been using version 04 all this time; I’m not sure which versions are more common in design institutes
AUTO CAD 2004. An authorized copy that can be used on multiple computers simultaneously. For higher versions of CAD, an online verification is required during installation.
Version 04 is generally used. In version 04, the system may crash when the crosshair is placed on a tab; therefore, version 08 is sometimes used, but it is still saved in version 04 format in the end

However, as new versions are released, there may be even more stable versions after a few updates, and their functions will certainly be better than those of the older versions. Therefore, when using older software, it’s advisable to keep an eye on the newer versions.
