For a proper arrangement of the construction sequence for a completely new installation: equipment installation, underground piping, above-ground piping, etc., the more detailed it is, the better! Thank you!
The construction phase generally starts with pile foundation work – then the construction of cap foundations and bases – followed by the construction of the main structure. After that, underground concealed works are carried out (such as the installation of utility pipes and electrical grounding systems). Next comes the construction of the steel structure, followed by equipment installation, pipe installation, electrical work, and instrument installation. It is possible to carry out these various tasks simultaneously; for example, the construction of the main structure and the underground concealed works can be done at the same time. In practice, the subsequent tasks of steel structure construction, equipment installation, pipe installation, electrical work, and instrument installation are also carried out concurrently.
The construction procedure generally follows the principle of working underground first and then above ground, and carrying out civil work before installation. Basically: foundation construction (water supply and drainage, fire protection pipelines, electrical grounding; electrical conduit installation can be carried out simultaneously with foundation work) → steel structure installation (which can be done concurrently with equipment installation) → equipment installation (which can be carried out alongside the prefabrication of process pipelines) → process pipeline installation, electrical and instrumentation installations can be done at the same time (anti-corrosion treatment is carried out concurrently) → individual testing of pumps and machinery, pipeline pressure testing → pipeline flushing, purging, and airtightness testing → combined system testing
Generally, work is carried out first underground and then above ground; it starts with civil engineering works. After the site is leveled, the civil engineering components (such as building foundations, main logistics pathways, and buried pipelines) are constructed. Equipment installation takes place after the equipment foundations have been inspected and approved (i.e., once the civil engineering work is largely complete). After that, the pipeline installation follows, followed by electrical and instrumentation work. Finally, there are subsequent tasks such as the decoration of buildings, road construction, and site landscaping. Familiarization with drawings and relevant technical documents — Construction surveying and setting out (civil engineering construction, equipment foundation construction, concealed work construction) — Trench excavation and pipe trench construction — Preparing holes and embedding metal parts in coordination with civil engineering works — Inspection of equipment foundations and equipment installation — Fabrication of pipe fittings — Production and installation of supports — Prefabrication and assembly of pipes — Pipe laying and installation — Connection of pipes to equipment — Installation of automatic control instruments and their associated pipelines — Pressure testing and cleaning (blasting) — Anti-corrosion and insulation measures — Commissioning and trial operation — Final acceptance.
