May I ask where secondary instruments such as isolation valves and lightning protectors are installed? What is its function? What is it usually paired with? I hope some expert can explain it in detail in their own words. Thank you, very much
Isolation plugs and lightning protectors are generally placed between the signals at the site and those in the control room, and are installed inside the control room. Its purpose is signal isolation and protection of the card. The isolation plug prevents dangerous signals from the control room from reaching the unsafe areas on site. Lightning protectors prevent high-voltage signals from the field from reaching the control room and damaging components. My personal understanding! For reference only
