Reasons for the tilting of coke towers during normal production and corrective measures.
This issue has also occurred with us, especially in large coke towers whose diameter exceeds 8.8 meters; such towers tend to tilt during the water supply phase. I raised this question at a meeting of experts held at Sinopec’s headquarters. The main reasons for this problem are as follows: poor quality of raw materials leading to uneven formation of coke, too fast water supply speed, and insufficient verticality during the installation of the coke tower.
Please explain again how to handle this situation? How did you solve it?
