Our company uses film evaporators, which feature the flow of the liquid material in a film form along the walls of the heating tubes, thereby enabling heat transfer and evaporation. The advantages include high heat transfer efficiency, fast evaporation rates, and a short residence time for the material; hence they are particularly suitable for the evaporation of heat-sensitive substances. Based on the reasons for film formation and the direction of flow, they can be divided into falling-film evaporators and rising-film evaporators. There are three types of film-evaporators. The thin-film evaporator consists of three components – an evaporator, a vapor-liquid separator, and a preheater – as well as a simple separator; the evaporator is a rising-film tube heat exchanger.
