May I ask everyone; When starting the turbine, the compressor operator performs on-site connection: rotate valve one clockwise to establish start-up oil, and rotate valve two counterclockwise to establish quick-shut oil. Once the quick-shut oil is established, slowly rotate handwheel one counterclockwise, reducing the start-up oil level to “0”, thereby gradually opening the quick-shut valve. I don’t understand the reasoning behind this; please give me some guidance.
The starting oil is introduced to create a sealed quick-shut oil chamber; only then can the quick-shut oil be generated. Once the quick-shut oil is in place, the starting oil is removed. The pressure of the quick-shut oil exceeds the force of the quick-shut valve spring, causing the valve to open
You’re confused by the literal meaning; the quick-shut oil opens the quick-shut valve by the piston pushing against the spring. During an emergency stop, the quick-shut oil connects with the return oil to release pressure, and the quick-shut valve closes rapidly under the action of the spring – which is why it’s called quick-shut oil. It isn’t the quick-shut oil that opens the valve; the starting oil is on the other side of the piston. Its purpose is to ensure that the valve remains closed during startup for safety reasons. Its function is similar to that of the spring, and it represents the first condition for the startup process – namely, to close the valve
The start-up oil and the quick-shut oil are located on opposite sides of the quick-shut valve. First, the start-up oil is used to close the quick-shut valve completely; then the quick-shut oil is applied to open the valve fully. Subsequently, the amount of steam entering the turbine is adjusted by controlling the opening degree of the high-pressure valve, thereby driving the turbine to rotate
