What could be the reasons why the temperature of the hot water at the outlet of the water heater is lower than the temperature of the water-gas mixture at the outlet of the saturation tower?

We tried to feed the recovered steam condensate (with a very high temperature) into the saturated tower, thereby raising the outlet temperature of the tower and saving steam – it seemed like a good idea. However, the shift hot water circulation is used to recover the heat from the shift system, and the added hot water actually disrupts the heat balance of the shift system. So it was changed back again
Reply 1# waiwailuo: Another possibility is that the packing inside the tower is blocked, or there is a problem with the gas-liquid distributor, which leads to uneven distribution of gas and liquid and thus to flow deviation – this can also cause the issue you mentioned!
I haven’t encountered this situation here yet, but I personally think it might be a problem with the inside of the saturated tower – perhaps the packing is blocked or there is uneven flow.
