Do gas diesel and liquid diesel have the same auto-ignition point? Do gas diesel containing water vapor as well (with a 50% weight ratio of water vapor to diesel) and liquid diesel have the same autoignition point?
I believe the auto-ignition point of diesel containing steam is definitely higher than that of liquid diesel, or it may not ignite at all. Because steam is an inert gas, just as inert gases reduce the explosive range of flammable gases. Compared to the autoignition point of liquid diesel, the autoignition point of gaseous diesel depends on pressure. If it’s at atmospheric pressure, I think it should be the same. If the pressure of gaseous diesel is higher than atmospheric pressure, its auto-ignition point should decrease.
Under what operating conditions is gas diesel available?
Heavy oil contains water; when heated to 240°C, it enters a flash tower, which is equipped with a safety valve that leads to the atmosphere. I’m concerned that the oil and gas released after the safety valve opens might catch fire.
