Our circulating pool is an above-ground pool; therefore, it is very difficult to replace valves whether it is for increasing or decreasing the head pressure. The pump has to be stopped first, and when replacing valves for reducing the head pressure, the water in the pool must also be drained, which has a significant impact on production. The valves we chose were gate valves, but whether it’s due to quality issues or the quality of the water, the actuation rods and cores often fall off. I would like to ask if there are any good ways to improve this?

We experience this phenomenon quite often here as well: the recirculation water valves remain underground all year round, and by the time they are needed, they are almost always corroded due to being submerged in water; they become damaged as soon as they are used for the first time. Now we try to move all such valves to the surface. The hair shafts and hair cores often fall out; I think it’s because of being soaked in water.

The design of the circulating water pool may already take into account various environmental factors, and these cannot be changed; therefore, measures and solutions must be sought through daily operation and maintenance. 2. The check valve at the outlet of the circulating water pump should be reliable, as this helps to reduce the impact on the valve when the system is shut down. 3. The valve should not be closed or opened completely; leave a half-turn of clearance to reduce the shear force on the connection between the valve stem and the valve core. 4. If possible, replace the screws used to fix the valve stem to the valve core with stainless steel to reduce corrosion.
