What certificates should we take for a situation like ours?

Five years have passed in the blink of an eye since I graduated; I’m married and have children now. The 11th Five-Year Plan has also come to an end, and we’re about to enter the 12th Five-Year Plan. Thinking about it, I need to make plans for my own future during this period as well. However, the company where I work isn’t a design firm. It seems that I don’t meet the requirements to become a registered chemical engineer, and as for being an engineer, I don’t know how to write research papers – and it’s unlikely that my employer would ask me to do so. I’m 30 years old this year, and in five years, I’m not sure whether my bachelor’s degree will still be valid. If I don’t have any other proof of my capabilities, I might be fired by this company or forced to find another job. I don’t know what I can use to prove that I haven’t been left behind by society over these five years. I hope those who have gone through our era can offer some guidance. I sincerely thank them. I also hope that the moderators will pin this post, so that those of us born in the 1980s who are still struggling in life can benefit from it (we’re about to enter middle school; next year we’ll be in the sixth grade, with kindergarten having been skipped)
