In the formula for orifice plate flow meters, q=C*A*(2*ΔP/ρ)^0.5, what does C represent?

How is this value generally chosen? Are there any empirical data?
It is recommended to have the supplier calculate the orifice plate values directly; they are professional manufacturers of such plates and have much greater expertise in areas such as the isentropic exponent, effective orifice diameter ratio, and throttle hole diameter. Your own calculations are likely to be inaccurate, while manufacturers generally use ISO-5167 or the latest standard GB/T2624-2006 for these calculations
