The process diagram shows that each unit has device air pipelines. I don’t know what the device is for, to supply air?
Pneumatic control valves use instrument air, while process air is generally used for purging and pressing; in some cases, the two can be used interchangeably.

The air used for instruments and valves is instrument air, which is different from the air used in the factory.
