How to address the issue of methanol corrosion when blending methanol into diesel?
Like gasoline, methanol also poses a corrosion problem that is difficult to resolve. If this corrosion issue can be overcome, then methanol-powered vehicles have a bright future ahead of them!
Currently, there are those in the market offering technologies for methanol gasoline; however, their technologies are not reliable either
In fact, the issue of methanol’s corrosive effect on vehicles has long been resolved; the challenge in promoting methanol-based gasoline and diesel is not mainly due to the corrosive nature of methanol – it is merely a minor issue.
