Disassembly of couplings for the maintenance of large and medium-sized vertical motors

This post was last edited by laome on 2010-11-20 09:15. The rotor cannot be removed during maintenance; the coupling has to be taken off. What should be done?
Is the author referring to elastic diaphragm couplings? Can’t the half coupling (mounting plate) still be removed? The fit tolerance between the coupling and the shaft is generally H7/js6, and it requires heating to be pulled out. For a tapered fit, the back cap must be removed in the rotation direction of the pump/motor; it can be taken off by gently tapping it.
