There are several factors involved in this issue: 1. Whether the method used for applying anti-corrosion coatings is appropriate; 2. The quality of the coatings used in construction; 3. The level of sandblasting used for rust removal; 4. Whether the material is frequently exposed to certain media. It seems that the quality of these coatings these days is much worse than it used to be. Over the past few years, I’ve tried using coatings from several different manufacturers, but the results have not been good. Currently, scale anti-corrosion treatments generally last for about 3 to 5 years.
The construction quality over the years also matters; if the steel plate is properly prepared before applying the glazed scales, such as by thoroughly removing rust, its service life can be extended. The entire surface of the equipment must be coated evenly, especially the corners and areas inside small pipes. Pay attention to the mixing ratio of the glass flake mixture; it generally can be used for 5 years.
