Where is the best-quality lump coal used in atmospheric-pressure fixed-bed gas generators, and how are parameters such as ash content, reactivity, ash fusion point, volatile matter, calorific value, mechanical strength, and thermal stability determined? How can one judge the quality of coal by visual inspection?
There is no best, only better; higher gas production comes at a higher price
