We installed 6-meter coke ovens last year; why is the temperature on the coke side of the small flue now 280 degrees, while it’s 260 degrees on the machine side? Our superiors say that the temperature on the coke side is too high and needs to be addressed. What could be causing this, and how can it be solved? Thank you

Is the straight-through temperature also higher on the coke side? It might be due to an unreasonable heating regime; what is the suction force on the machine side and the coke side?
What’s the normal temperature supposed to be? What’s your standard temperature?
Personally, I don’t think it’s high, but it’s still necessary to check the burner. Also, figure out what kind of temperature measuring device you’re using; if it’s a thermometer rated for 500°C, then check whether the thermometer has been darkened by the heat, before deciding on what measures to take

According to the regulations, the temperature should not exceed 400°C; however, our new furnace, which was put into use last year, operates at 280°C, which is already quite high. We use a thermometer rated for 500°C. What impact does it have if the thermometer gets blackened? It seems that ours hasn’t gotten blackened
When heated with coke oven gas, the temperature of the small flue should not exceed 450℃; When heated with blast furnace gas, the temperature of the small flue should not exceed 400°C. To maintain the proper suction in the chimney, the temperature of the small flue should not be lower than 250°C. The temperature in your small flue is 280°C on the coke side and 260°C on the machine side, which is considered quite normal. OP, your superiors say that the coking temperature is too high – do they not understand the coking process?
