In container computing, SW6-98 requires that a corrosion allowance for the nozzles be specified. What value is generally chosen by various organizations? Please share your opinions, for example, in the case of steam tanks, oxygen storage tanks, and air tanks. . . .
As a conservative estimate, use the same value as the shell allowance. If the corrosivity of the medium is not high, a margin of 0.5 times that of the shell can be used for certain drain ports, sewage outlets, and manway connections (ports through which the medium does not pass frequently). The values mentioned above are for reference only.
The corrosion margin of the take over should be the same as that of the equipment casing.
There is no need to consider conserving the corrosion allowance for the joint; it is generally the same as that of the main body.
