May I ask if it’s okay to omit the magnetic ring on the contacts of the electric heating jacket?

Dear Haihao friends! The electric heating jacket I’m using currently has a maximum power capacity of 5000 watts; it’s used for heating the tower reactor, and it consists of two sections wrapped around the outside of the reactor. I’ve taken it apart to remove rust from the wire connections, and in doing so I accidentally damaged the magnetic ring inside (mainly because of the high temperatures earlier on, which made it more brittle). Since the original screws were also rusty, they can no longer be tightened, and it’s not easy to install a new magnetic ring either. I’m worried that the entire device might become electrified when it’s in use in the future. I would appreciate it if those who understand could give me some advice. Thank you.
Reply to 1# xuri0611: It’s possible, but it’s considered an illegal practice. I sometimes do the same with my small heating element to save effort, but it’s not safe
I think so too; otherwise the entire device would be charged
