Propylene pipelines are cleaned using pigs and balls; does the process of passing balls through the pipeline increase static electricity, thereby posing a safety risk to normal operations? In short, can ball cleaning be used to clean propylene pipelines?
Static electricity is generated, but it essentially disappears at a distance of 30 meters. The pipeline is also grounded. Therefore, as long as the speed at which the ball moves forward is controlled, there should be no safety issues.

Static electricity should be dissipated through equal potential grounding of the pipes, right? Just control the speed of the ball’s movement; it works on the same principle as how materials are transported through pipes
