Paint weight per square meter

I would like to ask the experts here: I’m a beginner in corrosion protection, and I’m wondering about the approximate weight of paint required to cover 1 square meter. Are there any empirical values available? Thank you very much! !

Different results will be obtained if a different type of paint is used; generally, the theoretical application rate of paint can be calculated using the following formula: Volume solid content × 10. Theoretical application rate = ---------------------- (square meters/kilogram)； If the PDS file provided by the paint manufacturer specifies the volume, dry film thickness in micrometers, specific gravity, as well as the content and specific gravity, then it is possible to calculate the required amount. We generally calculate based on 4 to 5 square meters per 1 kilogram of paint, which means approximately 0.2 to 0.25 kilograms of paint are needed per square meter
A typical anti-rust paint is about 0.32 square meters per kilogram
