What are the differences between flanges made of SA105 and A105 materials?

The material of the equipment flange is SA105; the “SA” is the material code according to the ASME standard. Is this material the same as ASTM A105? Can it be welded directly? Why is SA105 material used at the equipment flanges?
SA105 is the result of ASME converting the standards of ASTM A105 into its own standards, by adding an “S” at the beginning to form SA105. ASTM develops standards for materials, whereas ASME does not create such standards; it simply adopts the material standards developed by ASTM and adds a note indicating the source of those standards at the beginning of each standard.
Some valves are made of A105; so what is A105 material?
The standard format for ASME standards is SA-105, and the notes associated with ASME standards are exactly identical to those in ASTM
The term “A105” by itself can be either a metal grade or a standard number. ASTM A105/ASME SA105, carbon steel forgings for pipe fittings. This is the only material grade I’ve come across that has the same name as its standard number.
