New specification clause 3.18 is not very clear regarding the requirements for inspection holes. The existing drawings for the separator with DN800 do not provide for any inspection holes, nor are there any devices that would allow for internal inspection; no special requirements for testing and regular inspections are specified either. Is there a problem with this?
In accordance with the Fixed Volume Regulations and item 3.18 of Amendment 1, clear requirements are established for pressure vessels that have inspection holes or that require such holes but are unable to have them. The Code for Fixed Pressure Vessels has removed, through Amendment 1, those pressure vessels for which it is \"unnecessary\" to provide inspection holes. Therefore, it is necessary to determine whether inspection holes need to be provided in the separator based on the specific operating conditions and requirements of your equipment, and then follow the provisions of the Solid and Hazardous Materials Regulations
