Linde, a global leader in industrial gases, recently said it has signed a long-term gas supply contract with China’s Tongmei Guangfa Chemical Company. Air Liquide will invest around 60 million euros to build a new large-scale air separation plant with a capacity of 2,000 tons of oxygen per day, in order to supply gas for the methanol production project of Tongmei Guangfa Chemical Company in Datong, Shanxi. The air separation unit is expected to come online in July 2012. The first phase of the methanol project at Tongmei Guangfa Chemical Company is designed to produce 600,000 tons of methanol per year. Over the first half of this year, Air Liquide installed 8 new air separation units in Zhangjiagang, Cangzhou, Tianjin, and Dongying in China, resulting in an additional oxygen production capacity of over 12,000 tons per day.

Are you at Tongmei Guangfa? The flowchart for the design institute is already available, and there is a group of trainees learning it.
