Our factory has a PVC production project with a designed capacity of 400,000 tons per year, comprising two production lines. The recycling system uses water ring compressors, which are manufactured by Zibo Vacuum Pump Factory. Over the past year, the problems that have occurred have been leakage at the sealing surfaces of the compressors. Upon disassembly for inspection, it was found that the inner walls of the compressor chambers were severely corroded, which narrowed the sealing surfaces and led to leakage of the working fluid. The pH value of the working water samples analyzed is between 3 and 4; please analyze the reasons for the acidity of the working water. (The working water is deionized water, and this compressor is primarily used to recover the gaseous VC from the stripping tower.)
Check the temperature of the recovered gas; the temperature of the gas lifted for recovery is already high. In my opinion, this might be due to the excessively high temperature of the recovered monomer, which causes VC to decompose and thus results in an acidic working environment.
If the temperature of the stripping tower is controlled too low, it can result in excessive residues in the product, leading to quality issues; on the other hand, if the temperature is too high, VC will decompose. This presents a contradiction – is there a good way to resolve this issue? ?
What is the operating temperature control for your water ring compressor? Is there a working water cooling system? Just add a 7-degree water heat exchanger to the process water, and that will solve the problem, right?
Reply to 3# xueshi1121: Isn’t there a tower outlet gas cooler? If not, just add a cooler; the heat exchange area does not need to be very large.
Both a top condenser and a working water heat exchanger are available; the temperature of the working water is kept at around 25 degrees
I’m not sure about the ratio and effect of adding the neutralizing agent; let’s check it
