For the foundations of large-scale equipment that I’ve worked on in the past, I would start by taking 3 galvanized flat bars from the foundation rebar and then welding them to the foundation’s foot bolts. This year, the engineers designed a ladder-shaped grounding system: two flat steel bars of 40 mm in diameter, each 4 meters long, with a spacing of 2 meters between them; connections are made every 600 mm along their length. The topmost connection is at a height of 1.6 meters above the ground, and all of these elements are buried in the soil. So far, only about 2 meters have been dug; I don’t plan to dig any further as it’s not possible to carry out his designed construction methods. What I’m thinking is to connect the grounding system with the foundation rebar (his design calls for them to remain separate), which should result in a resistance of less than 10 ohms. Could it be done with the guidance of an expert? ? ? ? ?

On railways, pile foundations with rebar are mostly used in place of grounding rebar; the required resistance is no more than 1 ohm (which is easily achievable in practice), with pile lengths of 40 meters. This example is provided only for reference
