Since hexamethylcyclotrisiloxane tends to cause pipe blockages at room temperature, our factory uses a pipe connected to the reflux line for extraction; each time extraction is carried out, it is necessary to preheat this pipe, as well as the valves and elbows, using steam, which takes a long time. Does anyone have a better way to avoid the need for preheating every time it’s extracted?
A jacketed tube is used for the pipeline, with steam continuously supplied to maintain a constant temperature.
