Will the use of a metal wound gasket when installing the pressure gauge result in insufficient tightening and poor sealing?
OP, what is the size of the pressure gauge connector? If it is an M20*1.5 interface, please use PTFE or copper gaskets ； In the case of flanged (diaphragm) types, PTFE or metal-wound graphite gaskets can be selected depending on the requirements of the process medium.
What type of pressure gauge are you referring to? Is it connected by threads or fitted with flanges? Threaded connections do not have metal gaskets. Those with flange mounting will work fine, no problem
The connectors of ordinary pressure gauges are made of copper, and there is also a water line at the bottom, which functions as a copper gasket; simply tighten it directly without adding any additional gaskets~~~
Reply to cnooczhouyx: The pressure gauge connector is essentially like a copper gasket. Our company uses a large number of pressure gauges – several thousand of them – with a maximum range of 60 MPa. We don’t use any gaskets when installing these pressure gauges; if leakage occurs, it’s because there are grooves in the base, and in such cases the base needs to be replaced. Even if a gasket is used at that point, it won’t help. If you don’t believe me, try installing it without a gasket and see if leakage still happens~~~
Choose the gasket based on your medium and temperature. If it’s oxygen, would you dare use copper gaskets?

Can a metal belt achieve a thickness of 2, which is the 18/8 requirement specified in the installation manual? Have you guys purchased it? ? ? Is your pressure gauge flanged? ?
That is, when installing thermocouples, thermal resistors, and pressure gauges, could there be any issues with using metal wound gaskets for threaded connections? Has anyone used them before?
