To prevent the backflow of high-pressure media; as for having two layers, it seems to be a precautionary measure, which is important in cases involving hazards or high-pressure media.
The compressors in our factory are used to handle high-pressure hydrogen, and they are equipped with two check valves at the outlet; this is done to prevent backpressure from reaching the compressor inlet, which could cause pressure buildup before the compressor starts up
Check valves are used to prevent high-pressure fluid from flowing back when the unit stops operating for some reason and the outlet valve fails to close, which could cause the unit to reverse direction; having two such valves provides greater safety and reliability
It is safer and more reliable; we have encountered situations in the past where faulty check valves caused injuries
