What is the difference between flutter and surge in an engine assembly? What are the functions of the anti-rotation valve and the anti-stall valve? What are the differences and connections between an anti-surge valve and a vent valve? I’d like to ask the fellow sailors!
One concept, different expressions. The surge in a compressor is usually referred to as flutter, while the surge in a main fan is also called backflow.
