I just finished watching Inception; it was quite good. I really admire the imagination of foreigners. There are many similar works: Harry Potter, Avatar, movies about understanding women’s hearts, reversing aging, invisibility, cat-and-dog fights, and even many disaster films – hurricanes, tsunamis, aliens, comets hitting Earth, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, viruses, giant pythons... It’s all really innovative! It’s truly the result of creative thinking. We might also enjoy daydreaming from time to time, but somehow our imagination seems to be fading away. Without imagination, where can creativity come from? In recent years, I feel that the quality of screenplays in domestic movies has declined sharply, with few original good works emerging. Historical dramas take events from the past 5,000 years and rearrange them, calling it “fictional storytelling.” There’s also a trend of remaking everything; ultimately, it’s because there’s nothing new to create. Our technology also follows others’ lead, imitating what others do, which is closely related to a lack of innovation. To wrap it up, let’s use an advertising slogan: “Lucent’s creativity – the driving force behind technology!” Chinese people, dare to spread the wings of your imagination!
