What factors are related to the efficiency of dry quenching coke boilers? In particular, what measures can be taken to increase the evaporation rate? For example: increasing the volume of circulating air, raising the amount of coke discharged, etc. Does increasing the flow rate of forced circulation water help to boost the boiler’s evaporation rate? Why is the evaporation rate here around 60, while the flow rate of forced circulation water is 570 (the book states that it should be 5 times the evaporation rate).
Raising the temperature of the gas entering the boiler is the most direct approach; however, it’s not advisable to simply increase the air volume – an optimal air-to-fuel ratio must be maintained, as either too much or too little air is not good. To increase T6, one generally increases the amount of coke discharged and reduces the volume of circulating air. However, even if the temperature of T6 rises due to the reduced circulating air volume, the evaporation rate cannot be increased. When the amount of coke to be removed is fixed, what good methods do moderators have to increase T6?
