I work at Sinopec. I’ve tried to write an engineering thesis three times, but I haven’t succeeded each time. I’m in a dilemma: if I plagiarize, it’s unfair to truth and the people; if I don’t, I can’t produce a high-quality thesis. It’s really frustrating. Well, after thinking it over, I still decide to stick to creating independently. When I write, I never refer to anything or look at any sources; I experiment on my own and draw my own conclusions. People in this country tend to copy everything… It’s better to stick to one’s own approach. Brothers, give me some encouragement; I can barely hold on anymore. . .
From the perspective of encouraging innovation, your attitude is admirable； But in terms of actual results, it may not be good. It can’t all be called copying either; there are always theorems, formulas, and even common sense that need to be cited and drawn upon. As for papers, especially those for professional title evaluation, so-so is good enough. This is purely my personal opinion for reference only~~

One is an application to join the party, and the other is a thesis; it’s really confusing for me. I’m constantly forced to lie and commit plagiarism, which is extremely frustrating. Maybe I still need to change.
Support the original poster! However, it should not be misunderstood; selectively citing others’ views or findings cannot be considered plagiarism in a unilateral sense, and of course the source should be indicated when citing them.
