Can the reducer and flange be welded directly? Why? Thank you!
The diameter changes and flanges can be welded directly together; for example, the diameter changes before and after an automatic control valve are welded to the flanges, and the inlet and outlet flanges of a centrifugal pump are also welded directly to the diameter change sections and flanges.
If the actual situation on site requires it, that’s completely fine.
According to the regulations, it’s not allowed; there must be straight pipes, at least around 100 mm in length I think
