How long is the service life of a mechanical pump?

Different standards have different requirements. API682 describes it in roughly these terms: for shaft seals that are designed and manufactured in accordance with the API682 standards, their continuous operation time should be no less than 25,000 hours (approximately 3 years). As for other standards, the time period is not so long; for example, some manufacturers of shaft seals for water pumps guarantee a continuous operating time of no less than 8,000 hours, and so on.
Reply to 2# joule, thank you! I mean the service life of the entire unit. It seems that abroad there are mandatory requirements for the retirement of mechanical pumps – they must be discarded after a certain period of use. I just want to ask if there are any standards in this area.
