Direction of the arrow

Annotations for slope gradient and direction are often encountered during installation. Excuse me. Does the arrow point in the direction of lower or higher ground? Which standard specifies this? I would be extremely grateful if an expert could give me some advice.
*The conventional practice is to slope downward, and the standard would be the design codes and regulations of the relevant fields, I suppose
The direction indicated by the arrow is downward.
Low. The arrow indicates from high to low.
The arrow indicates from high to low.
Some are indicated by arrows, with the arrows pointing from high to low; others are horizontal right triangles, with the apex pointing in the lower direction
The slope arrows for roofs and platforms should point from high to low, but stairs are usually indicated with text showing the direction to go up or down.
