It is reported that the 150,000-ton methanol production project using coke oven gas in Ningxia Qinghua has been successfully commissioned; this project employs the one-stage plus two-stage conversion process developed by Chengdu General. The amounts of CO and hydrogen in the gas of coke oven gas before conversion are equivalent to those after the first stage of conversion of natural gas; therefore, a two-stage conversion process is commonly used for the conversion of coke oven gas. Ningxia Qinghua employs a one-stage plus two-stage conversion process; the conversion efficiency of methane and the operational performance in this regard are details that Haiyou from Ningxia Qinghua can share.
