A leader told me to go see him when it was convenient for him, to have a talk with me, and said he wanted to give me some guidance. I don’t know how to prepare for a conversation with my manager
If it’s convenient, it’s best to do it right away. Think back to your performance lately and consider whether there are any obvious shortcomings in your work or communication. It’s a great fortune to be able to receive guidance from those with more experience than you; all you need to do is approach your supervisors with an open mind eager to learn.
Go there as soon as possible and just accept the “education” with an open mind!
Bring a gift and pay a visit – haven’t you heard that before?

It all comes down to consistent accumulation over time. It’s like a boxer who trains hard on a regular basis and thus has strong skills. When standing on the boxing ring, it is a great opportunity to showcase oneself and earn others’ admiration. Conversely, without strength, standing in the ring gives others an opportunity to show off and act domineering, while for oneself it results in humiliation from being beaten. Judging from the OP’s question, hehe, it seems like the OP is in for trouble.
Or maybe, in fact, the leader is simply giving a well-intentioned reminder or offering support? It’s not necessarily a tragedy; maybe it’s a good thing?
Reply to 8# llyy0327: Haha, I don’t doubt the leader’s intentions. What I mean is that, judging from the poster’s current situation, they are still too inexperienced. No matter what you say when you meet the boss, it won’t lead to any good outcome. Maybe I'm being too arbitrary. But this is a cruel reality!

Why couldn’t there be a good outcome? Maybe the leader really likes you. Perhaps I’m just an optimistic person who tends to think of things in a positive light. . . Even a well-intentioned reminder shouldn’t be a bad thing, right? . . (*^__^*) Hehe……
