For installations where the operating flow rate is below 15% of the rated flow rate, an additional flow transmitter for the low range is required. When the operating flow rate is 15% lower than the measured flow rate, a flow transmitter for the low range must also be installed in addition to the flow differential pressure generator. So when installing a differential pressure transmitter once, it’s LZ who decides based on their own understanding. In my understanding, it involves installing an additional differential pressure transmitter with a lower range on top of the existing transmitter (a dual-range differential pressure flow meter), in order to address the accuracy issues that arise when measuring low flow rates with a differential pressure flow meter, as shown in the diagram
