Crushing of plastic bulk packing materials

In the small absorption tower at the site, polypropylene plastic bulk packing is used: the height of the packing section is approximately 1900 mm, and hump supports are employed. During the operation over the past two years, filler fragments have been continuously found downstream in significant quantities. The material of this tower contains a high level of acetic acid. I would like to ask the experts: what could be the possible reasons for the breakdown of this section of packing? Do you have any good methods to address this issue?

Our company has served so many clients, and it seems this kind of situation has never occurred before; when it does happen, we should analyze the problem. I guess it’s also a material issue. It should be thoroughly investigated!
