Everyone, we are using a Beifen 3400 gas chromatograph. For some reason, the chromatograph suddenly stopped working, and all the keys on it became unusable. Could anyone please help explain what is causing this?
It’s a circuit issue; try restarting and see if the problem persists. I’ve never seen the chromatograph crash – only the workstation has crashed. Looking forward to the original poster sharing the results
Reply to 1# wangwei-spy: Restarting it should definitely make it work properly! If it doesn’t work, open the cover on the side of the chromatograph and check those plates, especially the one related to \"external events\"; it might be a contact issue
You just need to restart it. We’re facing such issues on our end; also, please take good care of it. That’s what the manufacturer said
Unplug the chromatography CPU module, reinsert it, clean the circuit board, and try again.
Restarting can solve it, but the problem reoccurs after a few days
Reply to 6# wangwei-spy: It’s probably a problem with the connections on your circuit board, or there’s an issue with some small component on it. Replug all your circuit boards. If the problem still persists, and your chromatograph is still within the warranty period, then wait for the manufacturer to come and replace it with a new board. If it’s beyond the warranty period and you don’t want to spend money on a replacement, just replug them or press them to avoid contact issues; it should work fine for now
Clean the dust off the circuit boards inside, or remove all the circuit boards and reinstall them
Regarding circuit board issues, I’ve seen cases where counterfeit chromatographs would often freeze up after being purchased, and the problem was resolved by returning them.
Turn it off first and then on again, or blow away the dust with a hair dryer
It’s better to turn to the manufacturer; they are experts. If you manage to do it on your own, that’s fine, but if you fail, the manufacturer won’t take responsibility, and the boss will blame you. The manufacturer is also willing to resolve technical issues. Actually, I suggest that you buy a chromatograph of good quality.
