It’s okay, OP. Just follow what the boss says; learn from the experience. Bosses are also human beings, and they say those things for the sake of work. We’re all here to make a living, so don’t worry too much about this matter

Firstly, it’s hard not to bow one’s head when under someone else’s roof. Secondly, I suggest that the landlord should get into the habit of summarizing things regularly; if not every day, then at least once a week.
